In July 2000 we were contacted by animal control in Logan, UT about a young Vizsla mix female who had been picked up running loose one too many times. Jennifer Woods drove up to get her and christened her "Logan" after the name of the shelter she came from. While a little bit afraid of some men, Logan was extremely loving and friendly with kids, cats and, for the most part, dogs. Jennifer fostered her for several weeks and then Logan got a ride to Burley with Rebecca to meet Penny & Frank. Hilary in Boise ID wanted a running partner and best friend and she preferred a mix over a purebred. At 18 to 24 months old the very loveable and high-energy Logan seemed perfect for her and after a short test drive hiking and playing in the Tetons, Hilary formally adopted her in August 2000 and re-christened her Zucca (pumpkin in Italian). She shares her new home with Pinza, a 4-yr old Rottie/Huskie mix, and lives near an endless supply of running and hiking trails in the Boise foothills.
