In January we were contacted about a litter of Vizsla/Border Collie mix puppies in the Boise ID area. Mamma was a beautiful Border Collie who didn't quite make it in for her spay surgery in time and they came home one day to find the neighbor's unaltered Vizsla inside the 8-ft high chainlink run. Mamma Jenny has since been spayed.
The Velasquez family had been under pressure from young Chris to get a puppy for quite some time so when this litter came along the pressure was on and, as soon as the puppies were old enough, Princess Shelby joined the family. Tammy, the 7-yr old Pomeranian, still has her nose a bit out of joint over the obnoxious new addition to the family but we believe that even "Queen Tammy" will eventually come around to accepting Princess into the family. Anga has met almost every Vizsla Penny has fostered so she has a little bit of an idea what they are in for but hold on tight to yer shoelaces kids because no dog named "Lady", "Sweetie" or "Princess" has ever been one - they are usually just the opposite!
May 2012: Princess Shelby passed away in the arms of her special friend, Chris, after a sudden unexplained illness. Visit Princess at The Bridge.
