SAM (was SUMMER)
Summer was born 8/22/2000. Summer is a small little tank, square in front, a bit pigeon toed and sway back -- if you are looking for a tall leggy blonde, she is not that girl! She is the dark red color and loves to wash faces and cuddle. She was given up because the husband in the former home wanted her to be a yard dog and she was not happy being there. Summer likes to play with other dogs and her favorite game is chase me. She is crate trained, housetrained and sleeps on a dog bed at the foot of the bed. She knows sit and is working on down and stay. She will shake hands and loves car rides. Summer was around young children but her first requirement for a home was to be inside and to have a doggie buddy. While in foster care she met a cat and she is manageable with them if reminded not to chase.
The perfect family found Summer via Katelyn Olsen and Seattle Purebred Dog Rescue. Allen & Charmaine have a 3 yo male Vizsla and an active lifestyle where Summer will be a house dog and their second child.
Her family writes: "THANKS, THANKS, and more THANKS!!!! Summer, or as we now call her "Sam", had a very nice car ride to Washington State to join her new family. She is getting along with her V brother Nikko and even gives kisses to Pablo the cat." Give our little tank woman a hug as we miss her silly antics and play bow.
