Snickers is a 6-yo redbone coonhound who was brought to a shelter by her owners who said they had too many dogs. They also had to know she was pregnant and about ready to deliver. We believe Snickers lost her puppies due to the stress of being left at the shelter by owners she trusted to take care of her. She has now been spayed and is looking forward to spending the rest of her life with a loving family... and family is key for Snickers. She adores kids of all ages and the more the merrier. Her foster home has not seen a more kid friendly dog ever. She is good with kids, cats and other dogs.
Many, many thanks go out to June & Paul of southern Idaho weimaraner rescue for opening their hearts and nursing Snickers through a sad time in her life. She must have thought she was in heaven after the hellhole she came from and she could not have been in better paws than Paul's. Thank you Paul for loving Snicks enough to wait for the right family to find her.
Aug 2007: Snickers found the home she was waiting for with two kids to call her own and a family to love her. Reports are she is a treasure not only for her family but a huge hit with all the kids she gets to meet before and after school as well.
