Original story: Rori is an approx 1-yr old liver German shorthaired pointer coming to us from an area shelter. She is described as a very high energy girl and will need an active experienced home with no cats. We do not know if she has any hunting potential but, as always, our dogs must be family members first and hunters second. We will post new information as soon as we have it. Mar 3 update: Rori is definitely a high drive girl but she is also very personable (when she's tired) and loves to sleep in your lap. She did well at the vet this morning and, except for not wanting to hold still, she allowed him to look in ears, teeth, etc. She wants to know what's going on everywhere all the time and is not about to let the party begin without her!

Mar 2009: Rori was a perfect match for Kevin & Shaunna who had experience with shorthairs and weimaraners, an active lifestyle, dog friendly jobs, family & friends and were ready to open their hearts to a new buddy. Rori knew from the first visit this was the home for her and the new name of Rylee was fine with her!

Oct 2009, Kevin writes: I just wanted to let you know how Rylee is doing :). She has been fantastic for us! We love her very much and enjoy being around her every day. She just had her first hunting trip this weekend and she had a blast! She wasn't afraid of the gunshots and she ran so hard and chased after plenty of birds. She has put on some weight, she is about 47 lbs, which according to the vet is her ideal weight. She has plenty of friends that come and visit her as well. Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for letting us adopt her and to let you know how she's doing.
