Jun 2011: Megan is a 1-2 yr old German shorthaired pointer who came in as a stray to a rural Idaho shelter. She was transferred to the Idaho Humane Society in Boise but by the time she arrived they were full and she needed out as soon as possible. It was discovered she had a spay scar and also a previously broken leg that had been repaired with pins & screws. She had no microchip and she was a known fence jumper. She spent a couple of weeks at a vet/boading facility where they found her to be very sweet with all people and she did well in doggie playgroup when they were in a safe indoor situation... with no fences to jump. Megan is constantly scanning the skies for birds... any bird, any motion. Much thanks to Tracy of GSP rescue for paying a big chunk of her boarding bill and to her new family for covering the rest of her costs.

Jul 2 2011: Megan's new mom & dad made the trek through the Cascades and Blues to meet Penny & Megan near Baker City OR. Her 5-yr old gsp brother, Colton, approved right away but at the time Megan really only cared about the birds flying around. She did however load right up in the truck with her new family and we don't think she ever looked back. Hopefully she will get to visit eastern Oregon again when huntin' season rolls around this fall. Megan brings a whole new meaning to the term "high drive" and we know Dan & Nancy have their work cut out for them in a fun way directing that drive toward birds and loving life. Follow Colton's lead Ms Megan!
