Maddie is an approx 6-yr old, 55-lbs, beautiful blue spayed female weimaraner. She was in a home for her entire life until her original owners moved out of state and abandoned her. They gave her to a man who had her for 2 weeks and was going to shoot her. His son rescued Maddie but, as he had a small house and already had one dog, he felt he didn't have the space for her and he surrendered Maddie to our small shelter. She came with a monogrammed coat, monogrammed dish and her own pillow. She was once loved very much and wants to be loved again very soon!!!! She is calm, doesn't jump and walks well on a leash. She loves people and likes all dogs as long as they don't jump on her. She doesn't need other dogs though and could easily be an only dog. She is curious about the cats at the shelter so it's possible she could be manageable with cats but we really don't know. She knows how to sit and shake and may know more commands. She is not happy in the shelter environment and just wants to be with her family. She misses them a lot and doesn't understand why they left her behind.

Dec 26th: Maddie was adopted through the Pet Adoption League in Emmett ID. A wonderful person named Kelly extended a helping paw and offered her a ride all the way to her new home in sunny southern California over the holidays. She is experiencing some complications from a surgery to remove a fatty lump under her front leg but she is in the best possible hands now and is happy to be back in a weimaraner world!
