Reddog Ranch Tuzbak Fonix aka Fonix (pronounced Phoenix) was born 9/27/2009 and came into rescue in Oct 2010 when his owner had to move out of the country for work. He had been well spoiled by his first mom and was a bit of a juvenile delinquent but was a friendly and happy boy. (Much thanks to Dawn of Reddog Ranch for stepping up to help with expenses on Fonix and to Audrey of NWVRA for doing the home visit.)

Nov 2010: Nels & Diana had been dogless since losing their vizsla last spring at much too young an age. They were now ready to add another vizsla to their family and Fonix seemed like the right match so, dodging early fall storms in the northwest, they met Teresa & Dan in Tri-cities and headed home to the Portland area with their new perpetual energy machine. Happy Thanksgiving to Fonix!

Dec 2010, Diana reports: I am having the darndest time getting him to be still long enough for photos! I did attach one we took Monday night at the PIR Winter Wonderland Dog Walk. It was two miles in the cold, driving rain - Fonix was not impressed! We love him already, he is so funny! I love the way he runs and hops at the same time like he thinks he is part bunny. The cat is tolerating him now too. He is pretty calm most of the day, then gets crazy around 4:00 pm until Nels gets home and takes him on his nighttime walk.
