Betty was a stray pulled from a Utah shelter on her last day and we were her last chance as no other all breed groups wanted to take her. Our best guess is that she is a V/lab mix, 3-4 years old. She is very loving and craves companionship. Her biggest problem is her weight. Her previous owners must have given her free reign at the food dish as she is extremely overweight. She weighs in at 86 lbs but really for her frame and size should be at about 55-60 lbs. Betty is very active despite her weight. Her dream home would be to live with an active couple as an only dog.

Update - Betty's family found her in short order. They had experience with labs and were not put off by her "lab looks". They also hike, bike, and do lots of outdoor activities that will get Betty the exercise that she needs. If fact in just a week in foster care and on a diet she lost 5 pounds so she has a good start. Take good care of her and have fun watching your new project come into being the dog she always wanted to be with love and attention from her humans.

March 2006: I rescued Betty in 2003 when I was living in Utah. I now live in southern California. Betty loves the ocean and to chase seagulls. Betty loves road trips. She keeps me company and means the world to me.
