Berkley was born in July of 2001. He has AKC papers, tail docked, dews removed. He was placed because the family was growing and the father was going back to school and they just did not have time for a high energy dog. Berkley was raised with small children, seems to love everyone, and had at the top of his list a playmate. The perfect home found him via a chance meeting with another of our rescue dogs Lucky. Apparently Lucky was on a walk in the neighborhood and Dana met him and loved him. They found our website and filled out an application and it was not long before Berkley also found them. Danner was looking for a playmate and Shane a running and exercise partner. So Berkley went on a home trial and never left. His new family loves his personality and still lets him cuddle on their lap despite his being a big boy! Enjoy your royalty in Sir William Berkley of Roy -- may he make your home your castle.

Sep 04 update - Shane writes: Dana and I can not express enough how much Berkley means to the both of us. He is a truely a joy. Berkley is very social and is always looking to make new friends! I've attached a couple of photos just to prove who runs the household. Berkley will let us sit on his couch if we ask nicely. Recently, we were on a road trip with "the Boys", Days Inn allows pets, so they got their own bed. We hope all is well.
