Original story: Auggie aka Mr. Black came into rescue from a local breeder who was not able to sell all the puppies. Mr. Red, Mr. Pink and Mr. Black all had a great time in foster care with the Dowdell big dogs.

Cassandra and family had begun the search to fill a hole in their hearts. Their BIG boy Vizsla Willie passed away at 8.5 from cancer despite all efforts to save him. The family was lost without him, including the other family dogs. They really wanted a puppy but wanted to support rescue so they inquired about a 1 year old male in foster care. Victor already had an adoption pending but when we gave the family the news a puppy was indeed a possibility they were thrilled. So after a home tour by camera, several long phone calls, a deal was struck for Daryl to drive to Boise to meet them. After getting to play with his brother Harley and giving Zoe a run for her money, Auggie loaded up and headed home.

Dec 2010: His family reports that he is totally house trained, sits, and shakes with both paws. He has gained weight well and is now much slower to eat as he has figured out more will come. He plays well with the other dogs in the house and the whole family just adores him. He gets to ride with mom at work as she goes on her routes and loves all he meets. Take good care of Auggie Doggie and enjoy his puppy antics from now until he is an old man.
