On 1/18/01 we got an email from Donna in Bigfork, MT who runs Senior Dog House and Rescue. She had been contacted by a woman who took in a 13 yo male V before he was taken to a shelter. The folks who gave him up were his breeder and they had to put down his mother the previous month so decided that he also had to go as they did not want him anymore. Donna had him neutered and took care of his other medical needs with financial assistance from Steve Shlyen and theVCA Welfare Foundation. Sue and Mike from WY offered to take him in as a foster and a potential final home as long as he and Boris 4/99, their other UT/ID rescue dog got along. On January 27, with the aid of CUR drivers, Ace made his trip to Hoback to meet Mike & Sue. Ace is living it up in WY and is getting along with Boris just fine. He got a great retirement home with a Vizsla family who is dedicated to loving him to the final moment. We hope others will see the beauty of helping a senior dog and hope you will stop by and visit Donna's site at www.arescuemom.org.

Jan 2003 update: Ace journeyed to the Rainbow Bridge where his old bones are young again and he can romp and play with the others. Thank you Sue & Mike for being there for Ace.
