Original story, Mar 2013: Layla is an unclaimed stray from a UT shelter. She has been vet checked and is 5-7 years old. She is spayed, up to date on shots, microchipped. Layla is overweight and needs to take off about 5 lbs. Her teeth are in good shape. Her tail is docked way too short and she still has dew claws. She is housetrained, loves to cuddle on the couch and is a happy girl. She is good with other dogs big and small, unknown with cats. She is very interested in the birds in the yard and has tried to nose her way between the fence gate so she should not be left in a yard while gone. She is crated inside while we are gone. Layla sleeps on a dog bed in the bed room or in the kitchen.

Apr 2013: Layla aka Abbie found a new home in CA. Her humans had Vizsla experience and so after meeting extended family at their store in UT, and getting the thumbs up from them, she hopped on a transport to Las Vegas to meet her new family. Mary reports that all is well and that Abbie is the most loving dog she can imagine. They worked with a trainer some and he loved her as well. Abbie has met lots of family and did well even with the young grandkids. She let them mob and pet her -- and when they left she raced around the yard with glee -- happy to see them come and go! They have found that Abbie is noise shy and hates a garden hose but those are things they can live with. She loves to jump on the bed before going to sleep on her own bed and then she joins her folks in the morning for a snuggle before the day begins. Abbie - take care of your people as they sure love you. Very special thanks to Marilyn with Utah's Perfect Pointers for bailing our girl out of a shelter while we were out of town and then providing a safe trip to NV along with her dogs going for out adoption.
