All Vizslas placed will be neutered or spayed before placement or the adopter must sign an agreement to do so should the animal be too young at the time of adoption. The minimum adoption donation for most Vizsla placed is $200. We gladly accept more to cover gas, food and extraordinary medical bills for your dog or to help the next dog... the love is always free.

Adopting a rescued Vizsla can be a huge commitment. It can also be a most rewarding experience. Adoption should be about wanting to help a Vizsla in need, not about saving money. Adult dogs need shots, training, and continuing medical care just as much as puppies.

In order for us to consider you as a potential home we must have a completed adoption application on file from you. If possible one of our volunteers will visit you to perform a "home check" to ensure your situation is right for a particular dog. The application helps us make the best match for both dog and family. For instance, we wouldn't want to place a cat-aggressive Vizsla with a family who had several cats.

Due to having several placed rescue Vizslas killed by cars, we also ask that potential adoptees click here and read this as a reminder to keep your Vizsla safe.

If you think rescuing a Vizsla is the right decision for you, we'd love to hear from you.

Our online application is currently being worked on. Please email rebel@utahvizsla.org or pfenton@utahvizsla.org. Thank you!
