ZOE

Sep 2008: Zoe was found as a stray shortly after the opening of hunting season in central Idaho. She is an approx 1-2 yr old female who we found to be a sweet, energetic, eager to please and very friendly girl. She's had a few accidents in the house but is learning quickly... as are we... and should make someone an outstanding companion. She is noise shy so will not be a hunter.

Dec 2008: Okay, she is staying... we think. Having lost Maggie in July 2008 we must have known Zoe was a keeper the minute she walked in the door. Zoe is not without issues but Penny loves having a dog she can take to dog training seminars and Zoe is all that and more with her eagerness to learn. Together Zoe & Penny have learned much about dog behavior. Zoe's first road trip was to the VCA nationals in Tucson and she has been on the road ever since.

Denver nationals rescue parade, Sep 2011: Zoe was found as a stray 4 days after the opening of the 2008 chukar season in central Idaho. She was estimated to be about 18-mos old and, as a stray, Idaho law required us to hold her for 30 days while looking for her owner. That was long enough for her to sink her paws into our hearts and she became the new foster host dog, home visit evaluator and rescue ambassadoe for the southern Idaho rescue team. She's not as sweet as she looks but she is always the class clown and makes people smile wherever she goes. Zoe is now officially Zoe Idaho's Star Garnet!

Dec 2011: Frank knew from the get-go but it took Penny a while to finally admit Zoe was staying. Stay she did and she continues to be a delightfully challenging addition to our home. She takes great pride in letting new foster dogs know she is the princess and imposes a fairly strict two day waiting period before engaging them in play but once she starts playing there is no stopping her.

Jan 2012: Zoe, Addie and Eddy got a new brother last summer when Bodie moved in permanently.
