SPICE

Pumpkin Spice was born 8/97 and has AKC papers. Spice is the mother of Ginger (Hanna) and Jack is Ginger's dad. All three were given up in Nov 2000 by a breeder who decided to go out of business. Spice has had at least 2 litters. She can be shy with men, had been a kennel dog and probably not given much more attention than to hunt. Spice has an under bite and is missing 2-3 of her small teeth in the very bottom front -- probably from chewing on chain link fence. During her 3 mos in foster care Spice became house trained, learned to play with toys and became a master bed and couch cuddler.

On Saturday, Feb 17 Spice went to meet her new family and immediately took a liking to Jack her new dad (did we mention she didn't like men?). She is doing well with training, loves her daily walks with mom past the school to see the kids. She is learning to trust more and has made her self right at home, staying in bed while mom exercises, and sleeping under the computer while mom runs her home business on the internet. Jack hopes to hunt her next year and will begin training in the yard. Spice turned out some nice kids with Jack, in Max, Hanna and Ani. Now it is her turn to be a spoiled little pumpkin girl.

Update Sept 2006: Spice got a new V brother when Jack & Rossalyn also adopted Jake!

Jun 2011: Spice passed in December 2010 - her body gave out but her heart wanted to stay. She was well loved for many years, we only wish we could keep them the rest of our lives. She will always be in the hearts of the Richards family. Visit Spice at The Bridge.
