RED (was DAN)

Jan 2014: Dan came into rescue as stray from an Idaho shelter. He was estimated to be about 9-yrs old and as sweet as they come. Shelter staff adored him and we can't thank them enough for contacting us. Knowing shelter space is limited, Karen wasted no time making arrangements to pick him up and foster him. Except for a case of kennel cough, Dan was in pretty good health. It turns out that case of kennel cough is what got him his new home.

Feb 2014: Hollie just happened to be working at the vet clinic where Dan went for his check up. Serendipitous? We think so! After a week or two to get over his kennel cough and for the temps to warm up to above 10 degrees arrangements were made for Hollie & her crew to meet Dan at a local off leash dog park. All agreed it was a perfect match and Dan got the new name of Red to go with his new home. Red has been sighted around town shopping at local pet supply stores and hanging out at work with Hollie. Besides doggie siblings for company, Red also will spend a lot of time trail riding with horses in the foothills surrounging the Treasure Valley.

Dec 2015: Red (who is now called Fred) got a new best friend when Hollie's friend Jill adopted Emmy.
