REBA (was AVA)

Reba (was Ava) and her sister Bella (was Scout) came to us at 2-yrs old as owner surrenders when their respective families didn't have enough time to spend with them. Our foster home found Reba/Ava to be a bit timid and unsocialized but overall a very nice dog with a great temperament.

Aug 2009: Tay was on our waiting list for a female vizsla as little sister for Rusty, a 6-yr old vizsla who was also a rescue at one time. Rusty had been very traumatized in his first home and had made great strides in his socialization over the years. Basic obedience combined with very good positive reinforcement turned Rusty into a great dog and a bit of a show off as he even had a few parlor tricks up his paw. We felt strongly that Tay's experience with Rusty would be a huge help in bringing Reba around and we were right! Tay & Rusty drove up from southern Idaho to meet Ava, spent an hour or so socializing and talking "vizsla" and we were pretty sure when they left that it was going to be a good match all around.
