LOO (was PIXIE)
Sometime late in January of 2001 a man dropped off a male and female V with the Arkansas rescue group. The female was very expectant and on Feb 7 it became clear she had danced with someone other than the male V. Momma had 13 kids all with great "character". Like Kola, Shiloh, and Willow before them, in June Pixie-Loo, Freddy and Neelix came to Salt Lake for foster care and placement. The kids are probably mixed with catahoula leopard dog but have traits that are very V like.
In June Rebecca & Daryl went to a conference in Kansas City and Sherry, their foster mom, drove the 3 pups up so they could catch a ride on the plane back to UT. Loo's littermates Shiloh, Willow, and Kola had all found wonderful homes and now it was her turn. Chantay and Sasa in NY had wanted to adopt Kola but did not want a puppy so young. But when these second pups made the trip they saw "that face" and fell in love. Loo is now a seasoned airplane rider and city girl who lives near a 5 acre park for running and playing. She will also get to spend 2 weeks on the beach at Martha's Vineyard in September. Loo has an older brother Boo who at times thinks she is a royal pest, but he also protects her when other dogs come around. Loo has made many friends and loves to play with her 6 month old Rottie-mix neighbor. So it's Loo in the City!!!
Nov 2001 update: Good news! Rosie, Dixie and Cleo from this litter have also been adopted.
Feb 2002 update: New pictures added of Loo and Boo!
