Baby Dancer & Herbie came into rescue via a local shelter contact. They are Vizsla x American Staffordshire Terrier mixes. They are both happy, playful dogs who get along with other dogs and cats. They have been around other dogs of all ages and sizes and are adjusting well. They have natural tails and dew claws still on. They have the short V coat, reddish eyes, long ears, and have the more square head of the AST. They are crate trained and working on house manners.
June 2006: Herbie is learning clicker training and has puppy socialization classes already lined up. Queen Mum his elderly grandma cocker is not quite sure what to make of him but he loves to follow her around and she watches over him.
Jan 2014: Elaine wrote to let us know Herbie's time with them came to an end. At not quite 8 yrs old he developed sudden partial paralysis of his back legs and after valiant efforts to treat him were unsuccessful, they decided to let him go surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, January 22nd. Our thanks go out to Elaine & family for giving Herbie the best possible life. (Visit Herbie at The Bridge.)
