GUNNER

Gunner is a 1 yo male V, tail docked, dews off, neutered, up to date on shots, microchipped. He is about 45 lbs, nice head and body shape. He was released to a shelter for possibly participating with other dogs in killing a goat. We do not know his pedigree or more background information. We will not place him in a rural setting where he has free run access to farm animals. His foster home adores him. He is house trained, uses the doggie door, sleeps on floor pillows. He is a dog who wants nothing more than to cuddle in your lap and would gladly sleep in bed with you. He appears to love every person he has met. He is a bit shy when someone is reaching over the top of him but can fall alseep in the middle of the floor with a busy family rushing all around. He rides well in the car. He has been off leash in the front yard and minds well and does not bolt off. He gets along well with other dogs and likes to play but they did have a spat over some "found" food after getting a cupboard door open with no one watching. He is a bit intense with watching the cats so we would suggest no cats in his new home. Gunner needs to be crated when humans are not home as he can be destructive. A local home in Utah or Idaho is preferred.

Nov 2007: Gunner was one of those dogs that just fits. He fit into the dog pack at the Clark's with ease, he fit into the lap of mom with ease, he fit into the car with ease, and he stays at home when the other dogs decide to take off. So Gunner was a keeper by the Clark family. They had fostered many a dog and still do foster for us but Gunner is just one of those dogs that sticks in your heart and stays in your house. You picked a great home Gunner!
