Freddy is an approx 8-mo German shorthaired pointer who was a shelter stray in a north Idaho shelter. One way or another he found his way to us and is looking for his forever home. Freddy is a very small gsp at about 35-lbs who should fill out to about 45-lbs max. He is friendly with all dogs, okay with cats and has been good meeting people. We have not had him around small children but he's not a nervous dog. He has not been evaluated for hunting and does not appear to have a lot of hunting drive so we are looking for a pet/companion home for him. This pint-sized gsp will make someone an awesome hiking/running buddy.
Jul 2009: Freddy found the perfect home when Cricket's owners spotted him on the website and thought he might make a good playmate for their 1-yr old vizsla, Cricket who was adopted in Jan 2009. Since we just happened to be heading towards Seattle for a vacation, we offered to drop Freddy off for a test drive. It wasn't long before Kathleen called to say he was a keeper for sure and a perfect fit for their family. Way to go, Freddy... enjoy your new V sister and the beach!
Dec 2010: Cricket and Fred are doing very well together. They still get into a little mischief from time to time but they are so well suited. We love our dogs so much that it was getting hard for me to enjoy the last days of my recent vacation cause they weren't with me, and I kept seeing people walking their dogs. We are so grateful for your organization. We wish you continued success for a the new year!
