Jul 2016: Five yr old Duke (b. 7/23/2011) was owner surrendered due to behavior and allergy problems that escalated after changes in his family. First he lost his lab buddy and then his family found themselves traveling a lot to visit sick relatives and it was just too much transition for Duke.
Aug 2016: We knew just the place for Duke to land where someone could manage both his allergies and any potential separation anxiety issues. Cookie has a lot of experience with holistic management of allergies as well as a flexible work/life schedule and Duke slipped into the household easily. Having recently lost two seniors, Sienna & Stella, one right after other Cookie was ready for a bit younger dog. Duke is younger but at 80-lbs he might be as big as both girls put together! At any rate, Duke has his forever home as one of the youngest dogs in the household.
