SPARKY (was ARNIE)

Arnie is an approx 4 yo male V, neutered, up to date on shots, tail docked dews removed. He was a stray that was never claimed. Neighbors reported him running for about 2 weeks before he was rounded up. He got his name in honor of Arnold Palmer who played his last Master's the day Arnie arrived in rescue. He is very calm in the house, sleeps on a dog pillow, does not jump on furniture. He will come up to cuddle when asked. He is houstrained, knows sit, and shakes hands. He does not bolt through doors, will stay back, and loves car rides. When he arrived he was wearing a brown camo collar and he had recently tangled with a dog who did not like him as his left ear leather was bitten off. It is healing but still after two weeks is painful. Arnie is a powerful dog in great shape. He may be a field dog but as we do not hunt we cannot assume he is a hunter. We do not have cats or children so cannot tell you he would be good with either. We do not typically place dogs with an unknown history with children in homes with toddlers and Arnie would fit that category. He seems to like men and women equally, is not hand shy, and is an all around is a great dog that will need good open space running exercise.

Arnie has a new name, a new home, and new doggie buddies. Mike dubbed him "Sparky" and he has been a live wire since the day he arrived. Sparky gets to play with Viper and Lexie and he gets to be spoiled by human mom Sharon as well. But Sparky is first and foremost the best buddy to Mike. He gets to go lots of places and has been to the trailer store, the chiropractors office, and the beach -- YEE HAW. He does well off leash and likes to swim and ride the wave runner with Mike. He follows Mike from room to room in the house like all good V's should. Sparky is the "coolest dog" according to all Mike's friends and of course we knew that. Take care of your 60 lb lap doggie.
